I have to go to the dentist next week and my dentist's wife died two months ago. What is the buffer zone as to where you would or would not have mention it and say "sorry to hear about your wife" I don't want to offend him by not paying respects to his wife but I also don't want bring up something that others haven't mentioned in the last month or more.

How does he know that you know his wife died? And how do you know his wife died anyway? Do alot of personal research on your dentists before picking them? They got telephone numbers for that like 1-800-DENTIST. If I were you I'd act like you didn't know unless it's like posted on the walls or something and it's obvious to everyone. You don't want to put some crazy thoughts in his head before he starts working on your teeth. Best thing to do is get a new dentist, or do what I do. I'm kind of afraid of the dentist so when I go I get knocked out. But I saw some shows on tv about doctors abusing patients when they were knocked out. Like sexually touching them and sticking there penis in the patients mouth. Man thats sick. So now I take my mom with and she stays in the room the whole time to make sure no sick shits going on. Also I heard about this one lady that got AIDS from the needle they used to numb up her mouth, so thats another reason to want to be knocked out. I mean who wants AIDS?
