What exactly offended you?

No flame here, just whomever was offended by the Handicapped spot episode, could you please (re-)explain what it was that was offensive, so that I may better understand your feelings on the subject.

Does anyone have any sound files for the Mac from some Seinfeld episodes? Or know where any can be ftp'd?

I was not offended so much by the scene of the woman rolling down the hill (although I didn't think it was very funny and agree that it was probably largely an unecessary scene), but rather by the fact that George would even consider parking in the handicapped space in the first place, that Kramer egged him on to do it, and that Elaine and especially Jerry did virtually nothing to stop him (they should have threatened to call mall security if he parked in the space). I do not have any disabilities myself, but I was really offended by the trigger for this episode. When I think about the big picture, I realize that the point was to show how George's ignorance and stupidity get him into situations that should teach him a lesson. But he never learns the lesson. . . I can laugh at that.

By the way, approximately 12% of the American population is African-American (to respond to another thread regarding jewishness and minorities on television).

Also--Jerry has also been known to make fun of suicides, which came from a stand-up bit at the end of one episode, but was not from the context of any episode.

Also--the FAQ says that Jerry was born in New York City, but I believe that he was born in Massapequa on Long Island.

That was probably what offended me the most- just plain bad taste. Like it has been said before, the producers should have known better.

That was the other primary thing that offended me- no one made them answer for their behavior, then George had the nerve to act like he didn't know he had done something wrong.

They just got off too easy.

I realized later that this was the real point of the episode, but was it necessary to keep harping so much on the wheelchair-related jokes?
