Duckman: Where did it go?

This isn't as off-topic as it seems at first glance, because as everyone in this group knows that Jason Alexander was the voice for Duckman. Can anyone tell me what happened to this fantastic cartoon? wasn't Duckman intended to only be a short lived series? I thought they only planned to make x amount of episodes, they made those episodes and now they're done. As for syndication, I don't know how many times you can just replay the same season. There was only one season, right?
