Inconsistency in "The Fatigues"?

I saw the syndicated rerun of the episode "The Fatigues" the other night. George said that his resume stated he was an expert in risk management. If you remember back to "The Opposite", Steinbrenner gave the job to George immediately when he saw him. Would he have needed a resume?

Maybe he gave it to the guy who was interviewing him, who then introduced him to Steinbrenner. I think the guy who interviewed him was the uncle of the girl he met in the coffee shop. (I'm Victoria, hi!) Maybe he had a resume ready and did not have to use it since he got hired on the spot by GS.

That makes sense, Paul.  You've pretty much got to have a resume when
you apply for any real job.  Whether or not they actually use the
information in your resume to help them make the decision has no
bearing.  So George's resume was on file, and he was selected to speak
on risk management because someone went back to the resume to see what
he knew about.

Actually, George himself wasn't sure why he had to read Risk Management. He guessed that it was in his resume. So it's not necessarily an inconsistency of the writers, but probably just of George's memory. And his response wasn't the most thought-out one, either. It was just blurted out. Just something to satisfy Jerry's curiosity.
