Does anyone know what Kramer did before Seinfeld? My brother claims he was the crazy kid that burned army men in a show called "Friday Night". Is this true? And if so, was this the only television show that he was in?

Kramer appeared in an early episode of Cheers where he played an old "friend" of Sam`s who has come back to collect on a bet.

It's funny you should mention that. Friday night (I think) I stayed up and watched a Cheers re-run rather than the Tonight Show. I noticed that one of the characters looked really familiar. I called my SO in and said "Look, it's Kramer from Cheers." It was very strange :-)

Thanks for the info on Kramer (Micheal Richards) in Problem Child. I also remember Richards on "Fridays" in which he was one of the highlights of a show that was almost as bad as SNL is now.

Don't forget Richards' tour de force performance in Weird Al's film "UHF" which came out a couple of years ago. He plays the janitor that becomes a TV star. (Tho the part could be accused of ridiculing retarded people. But blame Weird Al.)

Another alumnus of that show is Melanie Chartoff, of "Parker Lewis" on Fox. I also saw yet another as the "young" version of Ben Kingsley's character in the first scene of the movie "Sneakers".

He played an "invisible man" on an episode of Night Court. He finally decided that everyone could see him because he was wearing clothes, so he stripped. Not a pretty sight (but funny).

The ABC show was called Fridays. A skit show like SNL. Michael Richards was a regular cast member.

He was also in a 1982 movie called "Young Doctors in Love", starring Michael McKean and Sean Young. "Airplane"-style comedy, set in a hospital. As I remember, Richards was a mob hit man posing as a patient, intending to rub out a rival organization leader who was a real patient. Then charts get mixed up, and Richards has numerous unnecessary operations performed on him, plus other assorted calamities. Throughout, he had the same manic look as now.

Don't forget that he was in St. Elsewhere as a network news PR man who hires Ed Begley Jr. to do a Med-News spot. His hair was normal, he only acted as crazy as you would expect that type of person to. Hardly recognized him.

Does anyone know if that was really Calvin Klein in the December 16th episode? And what do you think is worse, a little "nip" on all of your Christmas cards, or what Kramer exposed to the public in his ad?

I was wondering about that too? Was he really Calvion Clein?

The TV Guide gave credit to some actor for the Calvin Klein part, so I assume the answer to your first question is "no."

What Kramer exposed in the ad, if the little preview that we got of him parading around in his underware was any indication of what was in the ad.

Also, why couldn't they have shown his ad on tv?
