Characters saying their name

Hey, does anyone know if, in ANY episode, Newman uses his own name? I can easily think of episodes in which each of the main characters spoke their own names in the course of their dialogue. (Although a comprehensive list of this would be interesting to see)

The most obvious of which was 'The Jimmy' since this caused some of the characters to speak of themselves in the third person. ('George is gettin' upset', 'Elaine bought a new dress')

For Kramer: 'I'm Cosmo...Cosmo Kramer' in 'The Switch' Jerry: '...then I want to be called Jerry the Great' in 'The Maestro (I'm sure there are countless others)

I don't think Putty used his name at all either. I'm only thinking of regulars on the show obviously.

In last season's episode where Kramer installed the garbage disposal in his shower, he called up Puddy at Elaine's.

Puddy: (Answering the phone, all squinty.) "Puddy" Kramer: " Is David Puddy there?" Puddy: "This is Puddy."

Sorry for not having the exact title of the episode. I think it was 'The Apology."

In "The Bottle Deposit," does Newman introduce himself to the farmer and his daughter?

(I don't have the episodes on tape...I think I can safely assume Seinfeld will be rerun forever, like I Love Lucy & Andy Griffith.)

I don't believe we hear the Newman character actually say "Newman" to the farmer and his daughter in that episode. However, that is probably the closest the series ever came to having him say it.

When the daughter yells "G'bye Norman" at the end of the episode, I believe it was to poke fun at the "country hick" type of mentality...but I don't know for sure. Some, I have read, speculated that Norman was actually his first name.....I don't know. I guess we all have to decide for ourselves.

In any case, I believe, then, that Newman may be the only regularly recurring character that does not use his name in any episode. What about Jerry's/George's parents? Anyone have references for these characters?

Frank Costanza used his own name when telling Morty how nobody could

I guess you didn't see my reply to this thread last week. Newman, in "The shower head", said "I'm not Newman" when Kramer went to his apartment to see if he had any water pressure......

...Really? Thanks for notifying me. I will have to watch that...actually...come to think of it, I think that is one of the few episodes I do NOT have on tape (that might explain why I don't remember). Good work though on your part to discover this. What about the parents?

In any case, you were right. I did not see your reply. There must be something wrong with my Outlook Express configuration, because I have noticed in other threads as well, that I don't seem to get all the responses. Anyone have any idea why that might be? Anyone else have that same problem?

I can think of two off the top of my head......In "The Shower Head" Frank calls Morty and says "This is Frank Costanza....you think you can keep us out of Florida, we're moving in lock stock and barrel. We're gonna be in the pool, we're gonna be in the clubhouse, we're gonna be all over that shuffleboard court and I dare you to try and stop me." Also in "The Wallet" Morty enters the doctors office and says "Morty Seinfeld, I have a (two o'clock) appointment" I'm not sure about the time but you get the idea. I'll try to think of times the wives said their names......
