4/9 Intro help

I had to tape this episode and my tape started w/ Kramer sleeping on Jerry's couch and Jerry freaking about the cup without a coaster. Can somebody fill me in?? Seems like I missed a very funny part of a pretty good (B+) episode. Help!! thanks

That was the best Kramer scene of all time (IMO). IT showed Kramer spilling some juice all over the floor, cleaning it up with a pillow, riding Jerry's bike, putting out a fire with the hose under the sink, bring the couch from his apartment to Jerry's, taking the phone apart, yelling at someone on street, rearranging the furniture, doing standup comedy, and throwing a big party. And all that Jerry notices is that Kramer's soda glass isn't on a coaster.

Well, There is an apparent dispute between what you perceived and what others perceived. Initially, I agreed with your take on the scene. Jerry gets back and all he notices is the glass on the table. Others on a.t.s have called this a dream sequence. After all, taking liberties with Jerry's apartment is how Kramer lost his key priveleges to Jerry's apartment earlier in the Seinfeld Timeline. Kramer merely dreamed what he would want to do while Jerry was away. It seems to me that the sheer quantity of mayhem caused by Kramer's ruckus would have left more evidence than a water ring on the table. I am undecided. I really wish for Kramer to have done all that he appears to have done in Jerry's apartment.

No. I assume that you're talking about the episode where Kramer and Newman make their can run and that girl yells at the end something like "I love you, Norman!!" In an interview, Jerry said that they cast that girl and she didn't know anything about the show. They gave her her line for the end, and when they filmed it, she messed up and said Norman instead of Newman. They thought it was funny and it fit her character to be stupid, so they kept it in. Good decision if you ask me.

The dream sequence actually makes more sense. Jerry originally left the apartment to go do a set. That couldn't possibly have lasted more than 2 hours.

And, I don't see how it's possible that even Kramer could have done ALL of that within 2 hours and leave no evidence what-so-ever of what had been done.
