When I posted the "Is George Jewish or Italian?" question two weeks ago, I was looking for specific references from the show, not "George's mother is stereotypically Jewish," or stuff about rye bread. Has it ever been said in the show that George is Jewish?????????

The fact that the debate has raged this long should be a clue to you that there never was a definitive statement made in the show that "George is Jewish" or George is not Jewish". If there had been, somebody would have posted the quote, episode, and situation, by now.
Besides, if George had come out and said, "I'm Jewish", who would believe him? He's always lying. Same thing if he said he wasn't.

The ony thing definitive that has been said about George's ethnicity is that his father has some Italian ancestory and that the name Costanza is Italian.

However, in the Seinfeld biography, Much Ado about Nothing, Jerry states that George's mother is Jewish.
