i am a huge seinfeld fan but havnt been able to "get into" CYE on the 2 episodes ive seen. are there certain episodes that you can recommend for me to start with that are like seinfeld or just good all around? and what are the similarites and differences of the 2 shows? thank you

The similarities can be found in Seinfeld references like:

- Larry won't carry kebab skewers in his pocket because he doesn't want his scrotum pierced. - His friend doesn't read on the airplane and it drives him up the wall. - He offends black people, like George.

There are probably several others that I can't think of right now.

I don't have them all, but the 2 I'd say are "The Grand Opening" and "The Doll".

I liked the episode where Larry is part of the producers. Many Seinfeld like qualities to that one. But no show is exactly like Seinfeld and never will be. Larry on the show is alot like Jerry with a little bit of Kramer thrown in.

I think that Seinfeld and CYE are a lot like Larry David.. in other words he is a one trick pony.

dont' feel bad mikeh20. i am as big of seinfeld fan as it gets but CYE bores the hell out of me. i admit i have only seen about 3 or 4 episodes. but larry david jsut seems to be better off behind the camera. that's just my opinion though. take it for what's it's worth. nothing. :(
