Wow was that SNL bad or what??

badder than bad. the only good bits were the OZ parody and the 2 jerry's on weekend update. besides that it's going to be another longggggg unfunny season at SNL

The Oz sketch was one that will be a calssic.

the 2 jerry thing outright sucked. snl writing leaves a lot to be desired.

Spike Feresten (from Seinfeld) was mentioned as a guest writer in the closing credits, my guess is that he wrote the skits (or some of them) that Jerry was in.

And I liked the "2 Jerry thing". I'm not a regular SNL watcher (unless you count the old ones on the Comedy Channel), so I don't know who that guy was, but he did a pretty good impression, and I thought it was funny to see him and Jerry play off of each other. Jerry's telltale smirk gave away how much he was enjoying it.

Absolutely, that was the one part of the show in which I actually caught myself laughing out loud. (Was it Jimmy Fallon doing Jerry?) The rest of show was pretty humorless as usual.

And as I think back, I can recall at least two more instances on SNL where the Weekend Update featured a bit where an impression was being done right in front of the actual guy. Mike Meyers did a great Mick Jagger, while sitting next to him Mick Jagger did a spot-on Keith Richards. The other time Dennis Miller and Dana Carvey (doing Dennis Miller) recited a slightly-modified "Twas The Night Before Christmas." Man, why can't SNL be as good as it was back then!

I loved the sketch where they were beating on Jerry and then saving him-especially at the end of the sketch when they were all laughing. I loved in the 'Oz' sketch when the guy tells him he might have aids and he's like 'good luck with all that" and walks away. It's true that most of it was lame- I couldn't believe they're still making Monica Lewisky jokes in Weekend Update. It was great to see Jerry back on TV. Funny, I thought it was the other way around. Anyone who LIKES snl has NO sense of humor.
