Viewers debate whether the closing credits and Castle Rock logo should have appeared at the end instead of the beginning of the backwards-told episode to make it truly chronologically reversed.

I'm a little confused here...I've ran this forward and backward in my head, also in the VCR. See if you can help me out.

Okay, the first scene (last) when the first thing we see is the Castlerock logo, then the still shot and credits, then the gang coming into the coffee shop. Seems to me that in order for the episode to be completely backwards, to truly say that you can actually watch it in reverse and have it be in order, the closing credits and the Castlerock logo should have been put at the END of this scene, when Jerry says "I can't believe we went to a wedding in India!"

Think about it for a sec. If you taped it, look at it. Am I crazy? or does anyone else see this?

Stop thinking so logically! Putting the closing logo at the beginning was just plain FUNNY! And it also helped to establish from early on that this was a backwards episode.

maybe the writers look at the closing logo as a separate "scene", and like all the other "scenes" put it before the previous scene. if you wanted it to be truly backwards, then everyone would have had to walk and talk backwards too, but that would only be funny for five or six seconds. the logo had to go at the very beginning (end?) for the joke to really work.
