Remember when Elaine asks Jerry "Hey, when do you say sex has occurred?" Jerry says "When the nipple makes an appearance. I got to thinking if that definition would pass muster for Ken Starr or Bill Clinton!
Anyone remember if the Clinton scandal was mentioned at all in the last episodes? It was mentioned everywhere else, and I can't remember now if it made even a passing appearance during the last few months of the show. I mean, it was *everywhere* else.
If Jerry had been in on the defining of "sexual relations" during the Paula Jones hearings, then Clinton would now be guilty of purjury.
Not a single mention. Yet another reason I respect and admire everything about that show.
There's a reason climbing Mt. Everest is an accomplishment, while
climbing the turnpike overpass by my house isn't. Think about it.

But your point is well taken Jerry has never taken the easy way out with his comedy. He decided early on not to use any easy off-colour humour in his act. In fact, after watching Leno off and on this past year I wonder if HE can do anything other than smirk and giggle humour concerning Lewinski. Although his idea for a third hotline in the oval office was cute - one to the Pentagon - one to the Kremlin and - one to the dry cleaners.
So no mention of Clinton - but 10 references to the Kennedy's. ( I'll do a Kennedy list soon).
