What is the "choose" game?

In the episode where George finds a great apartment for Jerry, George decides he wants it too. So they flip a coin for it, but then George calls interference since it hit the table. So then they "choose" each other for it, some game where they stick out fingers. George is "odds" and Jerry is "evens". Jerry wins 3 to 1. What are the rules to this "choose" game?

We used to call it "1-2-3 Shoot".

One player is Odds, the other Evens. We would both say, "1-2-3 Shoot" and each player would shake his closed fist during the "1-2-3" part, and on "Shoot," point a number of fingers at the other player. Add up the total number of fingers the two players are pointing; if the total is odd, Odds wins. If it's even, Evens wins. Simple.
