Did anyone every notice that in most of the earlier episodes George was actually sucessful? He had a good real estate job, lived in his own apartment, etc., etc.

Why was Georges dad a different guy in the episode were, he parks in a handy cap spot to what he is now?
When The Handicapped Spot was originally broadcast, Frank Costanza was played by John Randolph. Those scenes were reshot with Jerry Stiller in the version of that episode in syndication. Perhaps the original actor was unavailable or couldn't cut the mustard and the role was given to Jerry Stiller.

BTW, next week's TV Guide lists John Randolph in the credits for The Handicap Spot. I wonder if that's an error, or if they hauled the original episode out of the trunk ?
