Great new Sein fans in Britain. The BBC (2) is starting the 8th series on Monday and broadcasting 5 nights a week.

But can you believe this: they are putting the show out at midnight on weedays. I think we should have a competition asking which organisation, the BBC or Periahmount are led by the densest people. The BBC puts this jewel of a programme out at midnight on a weekday with little or no pre-broadcasting publicity (an act of such stupidity it almost beggars belief no wonder the beeb is losing respect - apart from news coverage). Compare this to Periahmount (Paramount for the uninitiated). This is supposed to be a comedy channel but it is almost a year since S has been screened following reneged promises of a June start.

After such a Seinfeld famine I think I would have to vote for Periahmount as Turkey of the year if only because I am so grateful to the Beeb for ending my fast with previously unseen (on terrestrial tv) Sein episodes.

Although I'd seen a couple of episodes before, I only really got into Seinfeld when Paramount started showing it from the start - and I want to see it in sequence as much as possible. Unfortunately there is always a season's gap between BBC and Paramount, which has only gone as far as season 6 now. Thus sadly the start of season 8 on BBC, is not really any kind of good news for me because I won't be watching it until I've seen Season 7.

Agree with your comments and don't get too excited about the current run, Seinfeld will probably get chopped for the Olympics after next week.

I agree with everything. It does look as thought Seinfeld will still be on during the Olympics, not every night though. Also, according to the Sky listings magazine, Paramount will be running repeats from about the 28th September at 8.30pm. Repeats are better than nothing and at a sociable hour. The only thing is, do we trust Paramount not to change the schedules at the last minute? What do you think????

Paramount will screen the show again at some point. Last I heard it was scheduled for November but they could well have brought it forward a month. Possibly they are repeating episodes up to November and then screening those that haven't been on Paramount before.
