Ok, Kramer is definitely in it, but I saw yet another commercial where that sad shadow of the man Dan Akroyd once was is golfing, and I'm 70% sure his partner was Jason Alexander.

Gee, having seen the movie (I'd give it a 6.5 on a 10 point scale), I'm left wondering just how many people with speaking parts _aren't_ on some NBC show or other. Does Lorne Michaels just walk up and down the halls saying "who wants a summer job?"

Confirmation, I saw the comercial too, and Jason Alexander had HAIR. I think the scene had something to do with "The hair club for man" theme and he tried to get Mr. Conehead to get a hair replacement kind of thing.

I might check the movie out at the dollar movies for Kramer's and George's sake...

We just got back from the movie and thought it was worth the $7 (matinee...2 x $3.50). High art, it's not. Entertaining, even funny? Definitely.

Michael Richards plays the night manager of a motel. Bit part, early in the movie. The character is sort of "Kramer on Valium". Seinfeld fans will definitely recognize the mannerisms.

Jason Alexander comes in later in the movie, as the Coneheads' lower-middle class suburban neighbors. Alexander, as always, is the actor's actor. His comedic timing and vocal inflection are perfect throughout.

As would be expected in a Lorne Michaels production, every actor is, in some way, affiliated with SNL. Thanks God they didn't have that obnoxious guitarist in there somewhere.

Aykroid and Curtin are both very good as well as the actress who plays Connie, the daughter. As my wife said of her, "It takes real beauty to look good in a cone!" I concur.

This is the kind of movie the whole family can really enjoy and seems especially rich for the geeks among us (judged by how quickly they can name the episode of Star Trek featured in the opening scene...)
