They don't exist. They're actors. The show is staged. Springer himself admitted to this.

Bzzzzt....sorry but I can guarantee that at least some are real since someone I knew in high school showed up on the show and the whole town started talking about it......

you are close here but not quite correct. Springer admitted that he pays some of the guests to appear on his show (which by the way is one of the funniest damn things on TV). If I am not home, one of my friends roommates tapes the episode each day and we all get together have a few beers and watch the show. That show makes me laugh so hard... Lighten up a bit folks, it is all for your entertainment...

Why the confusion....Frank Costanza is a total he-man...Feats of Strength, Korean Girlfriends, slaps to the head of George. Besides...for those who remember...his last showbiz incarnation was as a comedy duo with wife Ann Meara.

Although I am not an expert on these things, I remember years ago when Jerry Stiller and his wife Anne Meara were regulars on Ed Sullivan, they always had a chemistry that was very obvious--and when they looked at each other---well, it looked like love to me. alt showbiz gossip
