"The Comeback" cut

is it just me or did anyone notice the line "believe me Kramer, given the proper legal precident, I WILL kill you!" out of the sydicated version of "The Comeback" when Kramer doubts Jerry would be able to 'pull the plug' on him. I remember NBC used that line in the promo for that episode before it first aired and I remember it in the original broadcast. Anyone else? ****** "touch me im sick, f-ck me i'm rich." mark arm

All syndicated episodes are cut in some way; anywhere from a minute to 2 minutes or so are shaved. Apparently Ackerman and Seinfeld at one point had some control over this, and in fact in the last couple of seasons began placing short scenes unrelated to the essential plots of the show, just for that purpose.

Lots of times only the really obsessed (like me!) notice the lines that are cut, but overall--compared with Cheers, for example--they've done a pretty good job of NOT ruining many scenes with the cuts.

The cuts, of course, are necssary so syndicators can squeeze another couple of grand of commercials.
