Newman de ja vu

Does the guy that plays Newman appear in Animal House as the one that wore the beenie?

No. THe guy in Animal House is Stephen Furst, who later appeared as a regular in some TV series ("China Beach"??) but in any case is not the same guy who plays Newman. Both are talented actors.

I don't know about China Beach, but Stephen Furst was in St. Elsewhere.

i think that the guy from animal house was also in a movie with michael keaton in the mid-80s about some insane asylum guys "The Dream Team" maybe?

I don't think Newman is a paritularly likeable character if you were to meet him in real life (though I think he's great on the show)

Actually, I bumped into Wayne Knight about a year ago in LA. Super nice guy.
