Fans discuss whether a real Monks Cafe restaurant exists in New York and debate what Jerry ate at home versus at the fictional diner.
Is there, or was there ever a resaurant in NY named Monks? I am sure if there wasn't someone would try to open one so all the Seinfeld fans would check it out. Can you imagine how many customers would go there. I know if I was in NY and I saw a Monk's cafe I would stop just because of the Seinfeld episodes and how popular this cafe was to them.
BTW, did we ever see Jerry eat anything in his apartment besides cereal? Seems like every non-cereal meal Jerry ate was at Monks.
