SeinStaff reading UseNet?

yet another suggestion pointing to the idea of Seinfeld staff member reading UseNet: the comics George brought to "Tony" were Superman comics. coincidence? i dunno... considering the UseNet talk of Seinfeld suggesting that Superman was "master of his domain"...

I can believe that they read this newsgroup...I mention all of Jerry's smirking in a post a few weeks ago, andhow it took something away from the show. It might be my imagination, but he doesn't seem to be on the verge of cracking up nearly as often any more...hardly at all.

I think his computer is one of the new MACs.

BTW, I think its pretty difficult to show a computer monitor on TV without having the refresh be seen. Its like wheels on a car, unless its moving really slow, the wheels on a car on TV will usually look like they're going backwards.

I think a good Seinfeld subplot involving the Internet would be: at the beginning of the show, Jerry is trying to download something when Kramer, George or ELaine picks up the phone, screwing it up. For the rest of the episode, whenever someone wanted to use the phone, they'd have to stop and make sure Jerry wasn't on his modem. Dave

     Seinfeld has long been fixated with Superman.  "Our" suggestion was
     not a reference to Superman, but a SPECIFIC reference to Superman.
     A specifi reference to Superman that I might add has NOT been used.
     You can't believe that we could be responsible for every Superman
     reference that's ever been in the show...??!?!?!?!!

     Besides, what do you mean "yet another suggestion pointing..."?  Has
     there even been one?

Everyone on this net seems to think that the current Superman references have been inspired by this group. Seinfeld's Superman routines date back to some of his earliest material and have always been a running thread of his standups.

Superman is one of Jerry's idols. He has talked about him in his stand-up routine before the TV show.

Knowing Jerry's obsession with Superman (several comics seen in episodes, picture of Supes on refigerator, references to Supes many times), perhaps Jerry could be accessing alt.comics.superman from his Macintosh?
