Seinfeld movie

I think the Seinfeld series finale should emulate The X Files and begin a storyline that will be continued in a Seinfeld movie.

A few months ago while I was watching Entertainment Tonight, they were talking about a Seinfeld movie coming out. I was just wondering what happened to it? I haven't heard anything about it yet.

Personally, I think that would be a great idea. I mean, I doubt it would cost more than 20 million to make, and the returns would be at least double that. Ah, I can dream...

I think that this is where we will find most of the regulars of the cast going to...movies. As for Jerry, when I saw him in an interview with Larry King, he said that he didn't see how he could do another show since nothing could top "Seinfeld." I think that the only type of challenge that he would take on would be to have a Seinfeld movie. It would certainly be funny but I would think extremely difficult to write. I think it would be difficult to write and sustain the humor that everyone would excpect however it could be done.

It would cost WAY more than $20 million simply because they'd have to (most likely) negotiate the cast salaries from scratch and there is no reason for each to demand less than $5 million for such a movie. Whether or not it could be done creatively is another issue altogether, but financially speaking they'd need to shell out and most of the money wouldn't even go up on the screen.

It would be nice to look forward to an occasional Seinfeld Special the same way Bob Hope used to have his shows. Once a year or so.

I suggest one of the following, but certainly not a big finale episode. Remember the nihilism!

• The friends fall into disfavor and simply forget about each other.

2)  The say a casual good-bye at the end of the last
    episode and head off into four directions (as in
    the episode on the subway).

There should certainly NOT be yearly "Seinfeld" reunion episodes. Let's recall how much Bob Hope specials sucked.
