Short attention span, huh?
-Purely an inside joke that has been bandied about by non-Seinfeld watchers who don't or can't understand why people watched the show. In fact, the show is more about "cosmic parallels" in a Vengeance through Karma sort of way. Yes, the characters are selfish, and they meet their just deserts, usually in a quid pro quo "cosmic balance." Every single show involves three, or four, sometimes more, narrow minded individuals struggling against themselves, or others, but really against fate, and never managing to learn a lesson in so doing.
Don, you managed to watch one show, and never watched again? Did it occur to you that writers changed in eight years? Story lines always, again and again, involved bizarre twists of fate, not just in what the characters do or did, but what they wanted, and never could get. If you bothered to look (and reflect), you would find that sometimes the characters run into doppelgangers, de facto, de jure, de anima, de rebus, sharing the same motives or circumstances that the main characters have. The amusement offered by this show is in seeing how things unravel, and then wrap together again.
