Posters debate whether a user named semi is a troll from other newsgroups or a genuine Seinfeld fan, with disagreement about his contributions and identity.
My guess is that this semi dude is someone from alt.moose or alt.tasteless who's started contributing to this group to bait us into responding. The same thing happened about 6 mos ago on rec.pets.cats and probably goes on in most of the other newsgroups. Bascially, they can't stand that anyone is emotionally wrapped up in something they don't care about, so they have to get on a newsgroup and act obnoxious. That's my theory anyway.

Then why in the world would SEMI take the time to compile for us such a comprehensive, all-inclusive list of Seinfeld-related stuff? I thought that was a very thoughtful thing to do, and shows that SEMI really does care about Seinfeld.

Who knows what it stand for, but a finger of him to find out his real name just returns his mailbox address. It seems semi is some sorta prefix for junk accounts that the U of Baltimore must give students just so that they will leave the U alone about getting accounts.... Oh well...
