George...how low can he go?

Tonight's episode was a new one in George's Hall of Shame--seducing his own cousin just to get at his parents!!!

George sinking to new lows, and justifying them, are some of my favorite moments of "Seinfeld". Who can add to this list of "George's steps downward"?

1. Seduced his cousin just to get at his parents 2. Exaggerated an injury for handicapped benefits 3. Asked Marisa Tomei (sp?) on a date within hours of his fiance's death 4. Ate a chocolate eclair out of a garbage can (my personal favorite--especially for the discussion with Jerry afterwards!!!) 5. Urinated in the gym shower 6. Made love in his mother's bed 7. Made love with the cleaning woman on his office desk 8. Went to see his mother at the hospital, only because a sexy nurse was giving a massage to the sexy patient in the next bed 9. Picked his nose just to get a woman to break up with him ("I was in up to my wrist!") 10. Reportedly tossed around the idea of whether he would be "cheating" if he slept with a prostitute while he was engaged 11. When a small fire broke out at a birthday party, he screamed "Fire!" and pushed women and children out of the way to flee an apartment 12. Thought "the Son of Sam" was trying to get into a van, and fled, leaving his cousin behind 13. Dated a female prisoner simply because she was low-maintainance 14. Bootlegged tapes just to impress a woman who thought he was the "bad boy"

How about these:

Leading a woman to believe he is sensitive just to spite someone who said he wasn't---"I'll marry her if I have to!"

Hoping for a plane crash to get out of his engagement

Buying the cheapest invitations possible even though he knew the glue was at least defective

Claiming that his dad was dead so that he could sell his old vacation clothes

Arranging a date with Marisa Tomei while he was still engaged

Telling jerry to act like a disturbed individual so that his girlfriend would think he was the funny one

How about when he tried to get a death certificate at his girlfriend's relative funeral so that he could get a discount on his plane fair.

Asking Marisa Tomei out on a date was "low" not because of the close proximity to his fiance's death, but simply because George was engaged to be married. George had no way of knowing of his fiance's death before she died.

If you'll remember the episode where she died, during the credits at the end George called Marissa TOmei and asked her out again saying something like, "I have the funeral on Thursday, but the rest of the weekend is pretty much open..." Jason

George is definitely a loser. He is so pathetic--that's what makes him so hilariously funny!

I think there are two incidents here: George asked Marisa Tomei out for coffee while still engaged to Susan (and tried to slough off being engaged as no big deal). Then, after Susan dies, he's on the phone to Tomei within hours of leaving the hospital to ask her out again ("I've got the funeral tomorrow, but my weekend is wide open..." or words to that effect). I think the latter incident is what the original poster was referring to.
