Whose Brother Is Uncle Leo?

Is Uncle Leo Morty or Helen Seinfeld's brother? I don't think it's ever been made clear.

I thought I was giong out on a limb when I replied. I remembered Morty being upset, and that's why I thought Leo was his brother.

The debate on who is Uncle Leo's sibling is interesting b/c it brings in Buddy. Buddy, as you may recall, was w/ their grandfather the day he won the money at the track and gave it to Uncle Leo to split w/ his sister (Helen). Then Buddy showed up at the same nursing home later. Morty was busy calculating interest on the money.

Wrong. He was supposed to split the winnings money from a track bet with his sister.

Actually Leo is Helen's brother. Morty was upset about his wife getting cheated out of the money and calculated. to the interest Leo would owe her. Jerry found out about the $ from a old friend of his grandfather's when he went to visit Nana at a nursing home.

He's Helen's brother. This is made clear in an episode where it's revealed that their father once gave Leo 100 $ (correct amount?) and told him to share it with his sister. Morty wants Helen's 50 $ back - with interest.

I had an inkling it might be Helen for a couple of reasons. First, Morty hardly ever acknowledges Leo and vice versa...not very brotherly.

More substantially, in "The Chinese Restaurant," when Jerry blows off his uncle (Leo?) for dinner so he can see "Plan 9 From Outer Space" and sees the woman from his uncle's office at the restaurant, he moans, "This is bad! She'll tell my uncle, he'll call my mother..." (Not the exact dialogue, but close enough.) Why would he call Helen rather than Morty if she were not his sister?

I thought he was Helen's brother since, according to Jerry's grandmother, Leo was supposed to share money with his sister years before (sorry, but some of you die-hards will have to fill in the details here: he was supposed to give her something like $50 and never did; Morty became outraged and tried to figure out what that would be worth today with interest over 40some years). Not sure of the episode, but that's what I'm using for my background.
