Why "The Doodle"?

Fans discuss why the episode is titled "The Doodle" when the doodle is only briefly shown and other plot elements like fleas seem more central to the story.

I wonder why they chose "The Doodle" as the title of that particular episode. The doodle itself was only shown for a few moments, and after the first few minutes, was no longer integral to the plot.

I would have called it "The Fleas". Or maybe "The Peaches" or "The Manuscript"? Naaah. "The Fleas" would have been my title.

And another thing.  Jerry didn't know who gave him the fleas until
Elaine came out with the Chunky wrappers.  What was Newman doing
eating Chunkys in Jerry's apartment?

The doodle completely got Georges plot going, you know the whole I don't care if you wear velvet thing. As for Newman, he was probably in there with Kramer when Jerry wasn't home as he was in a few other episodes that we know of. The cool thing is I'm eating a Chunky as I write this. Hope I don't get fleas for it.
