long-live seinfeld, death the friends

this has been posted already, but in some episodes of friends, i see uncanny resemblence to seinfeld, and i found another one.

ie. i am just watching "the wife", and kramer and elaine make a deal to become married in 50 years. friends had an episode where all they talked about was wedding plans for the future. the seinfeld episode aired in 94' when friends wasn't even on the air, so it is impossible that seinfeld was the one who copied.

is it possible that the friends writters are so dense and dry out of ideas that they stole from seinfeld? ... quickly robin, to the batmobile.

i must say, that the only good "actaul tv show" still on air with new episodes is romano. friends has turned into a stupid soap opera, and reuses plots from their show and more importantly others. it is stupid, and i think the direction that tv is turning in is terrible. i sometimes watch a reality show or two, but they seem to be dominating the ratings, and it doesn't look good for tv.

They appear to rely on star guests too much and the storylines repeat over and over again. I know there was tension between Elaine and Jerome, but they didn't drag it out to be in pretty much every single show. That there was the repeating storyline about George's impending wedding, but they restricted it to one series only and not all the episodes in that either. Then after Susan's death, they had the great writing ability to carry on George's pain with the occasional mention of the Susan Ross Foundation.

Without stories, it's all just masterbation.

Is anybody even going to watch "Joey"? I wasn't around when Cheers ended, and don't know the exact response that Fraiser got, but maybe it's abit the same. I only have recently started to watch the re-runs of Seinfeld, and I used to LOVE Friends, but I have realized how bad it has turned.

Another question of interest that has came to my attention: what has tv turned into? Seinfeld was the last "classy" sitcom. Freinds is dry and dead in my opinion. I do like Ray, but isn't he leaving? All of America has tuned out sitcoms, and the ratings show that our main interest is reality tv. do you think it will last? will it become a perminent fixture, or die out in the next couple years? ... just a thought.

IMO best sitcoms on at the moment are CYE, Scrubs and The king of Queens. I'm really beginning to dislike Ray and Friends is so played.

King of queens rocks, I still like Ray, though, but Scrubs is too modern or something, at least for me. I don't see the humour in it at all. Friends I've always disliked for the same reasons.

Scrubs is genius AFAIAC, I absolutely love it. The only show I've felt stronger about is Seinfeld.
