I have just received an email from a friend with a list of little known facts. One of the little known facts is:
IN EVERY EPISODE OF SEINFELD THERE IS A SUPERMAN SOMEWHERE.
Has anyone ever heard this before, because I certainly have never noticed this before.

I got a similar E-mail with the same fact. This "fact" is false. Find a Superman reference in "The Parking Lot" or "The Chinese Restaurant," for example.

THe reason the superman is not in these episodes is because an Earthquake destroyed Jerry's Superman statue and magnet which were supposedly made just for him. Anyway Dc Comics sent him a new one of each.
It may be a stretch, but I think there is a reference to Superman's Pal -- Batman in the Chinese Restaurant, which is close enough for me. Don't remember enough about The Parking Lot.
However, I suspect there are several of the earlier episodes that don't contain a reference.

There is a "The Handicap Spot" which does have a shot of Jerry's apartment and therefore a reference if you ever see the 'fridge or the shelf. There is a "The Parking Space" which also shows the apartment. I never realized how much empahsis they put on parking in the show. "The Alternate Side" as well.....
You got me. I got the parking related episode titles confused. *blush*
But, just because Jerry's apartment is shown in an episode, that doesn't guarantee a "Superman sighting". The figurine didn't make it to Jerry's shelf for at least a few years. Ditto for the fridge magnet. Early episodes that included scenes in Jerry's apt. are also candidates for "No reference" episodes.
Why does Jerry's apartment have to appear in an episode for Superman to be there? Maybe they sneak him in somewhere else! You can't say that just because there was no scenes in Jerry's apartment necessarily means there was no Superman.

No, but you can say that since 2 obvious Superman references (the magnet
and the figurine) exist within Jerry's apartment, that the liklihood of
any given episode containing a reference increases if scenes inside
Jerry's apartment are included in said episode. Phew.
