Hello from AUSTRALIA! Seinfeld has been our favourite show for years. We are currently watching re-runs of re-runs at the moment. What is happening with everyone on the show at the moment? When is the final show going to air?

Here's the Seinfeld situation:

The season started slowly, with some episodes that were frankly disappointing. The past two shows have been markedly better, reminiscent of several years back.

The last episode is scheduled for Thursday, May 14; it's expected to be longer than normal, with a "making of" special (possibly fictional) to precede it.

There will be no spinoffs, at least for the four main characters. That probably goes for the peripheral people too (Newman, George's parents, etc.).

Jerry will be doing a standup special in NY's Central Park for HBO this summer. What he'll do beyond that is anyone's guess, but it won't be sitcom-related. Jason Alexander has a deal with ABC, I believe, but it probably is for producing shows, not going on-camera. Michael Richards and Julia Louis-Dreyfus will probably focus on movies as they try to shake off their sitcom personas. Wayne Knight, of course, doesn't have that problem; he'll continue as a police officer on "3rd Rock From The Sun" and play great character roles in movies
