I will admit that I am one of the people on this newsgroup that has thought the end of Seinfeld is near, and I have been on an episode-by-episode watching pattern. However, my opinion of the show reverted back to the "classic episode" period of 3 seasons ago. I didn't know how this would work, since Jerry's interview with Larry really didn't affect my opinion either way. The idea was very good, and worked. Some positives: Elaine is still the reason why I watch, and she was still the best part of this episode (Schnapps anyone); Jerry was really funny for the first time this season; Nina was a good Bizarro Elaine; the return of Susan; flashing back to Jerry moving into the apartment; the warnings about India by Pinter's parents; No elder Costanzas on the show; Newman (maybe it is that I am getting more used to Wayne Knight from his other appearances outside of the Seinfeld realm). The negatives: George and Kramer are so far beyond help that I cringe if they are on the screen for more than a minute with their own individual storylines.
The difference between this episode and the rest of the season is comparable to the ratings difference between Seinfeld and anything on WB. I am praying that the rest of the season is close to this episode.
