"The Revenge"

I hadn't seen that episode for a while until just a little while ago. That was a really funny episode. I love at the end when Newman is on the roof, and Kramer asks him what is he waiting for. Kramer says, "You wanna shoot some pool tonight?" Newman: "I can't! I'm going to the movies!" I love that line. He obviously gives it away that he's not gonna kill himself. LOL

I'm a little confused about the 'Newman' in this episode-I know it was'nt Wayne Knights voice that said 'I'm going to the movies' but Kramer said Newman had no job-I was under the impression that Newman had always been a postal worker-probably since leaving school. Can anyone make sense of this? Was Newman once Jobless?

It was not Wayne Knight's voice at first. That episode was his first "appearance" so to speak. They dubbed his voice in later. Making the voice you hear now, kinda unnoticable.

You're sure that wasn't Wayne Knight's voice?? It sounded just like him.

The voice of Newman was re-dubbed for syndication by Mr. Knight after it was decided to make the character a recurring one. Originally the voice of Newman was that of co-creater Larry David.

Newman's lack of employment in this episode is a plot inconsistency that comes up repeatedly on this newsgroup.
