Is Newman pure evil? I think so, but like many colorful characters, Newman portrays the aesthetics of evil. Evil can be a beautiful thing to watch when done masterfully, and Newman is a master of evil.
Newman is the kind of guy who would watch a cat running full tilt toward a plate glass window, then stop a whole crowd of people and say "Watch...". I must have a little Newman in me, because I've done this exact thing. Then laugh ucontrollably.
I could philosophize about Newman's evil head for hours. Hopefully, someday they'll give him his own show, maybe with Kramer as a roommate. It would be such a strain on creativity for the writers to constantly produce an endless stream of ideas, that this show may be too difficult to produce.
I have one masterpiece of an idea for Wayne Knight: he would be the perfect character for King Tut in a Batman sequel. Wayne isn't as big as Victor Buono was (6' 4" and 400 lbs.), but he portrays the kind of evil only found in Gotham.
