"Hello!"
While channel-surfing tonight, I came across the conclusion of the great 1973 movie PAPILLON starring Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman. While checking out the closing credits, I was shocked and delighted to see, playing a "Guard," none other than Len Lesser, aka Uncle Leo ("Hello!"). He must've been the guy who greeted the prisoners at the penal colony ("Papillon, HELLO!")!
You are correct, sir! He was in "Papillon" with Dustin Hoffman, who was in "Sleepers" with Kevin Bacon, giving Len a Bacon Rating of two (2).
yea, i saw the film when it was released in 1973 and read not too long ago that uncle leo was in it. i haven't seen in quite awhile but i can definitely imagine him in it. it was a very intense depressing though extremely well made film by william friedkin. rent it if you haven't seen it. mcqueen and hoffman are superb. and i'm sure uncle leo is pretty good in it too.
Not to split hairs, but Papillon was directed by Franklin Schaffner, not William Friedkin.
