It's too bad. I watched it and thought parts were pretty funny. Way way better than most any of the dreck out there. I thought the writing could've been better but Jason's stuff was pretty good. I didn't like his son and I thought Robert Klein wasn't written well enough for. But give something a chance, for God's sake. I even think Michael Richards with some tweaking could have done something too.

Imagine if Seinfeld had debuted in 2001. It was so good and so different it wouldn't have had a chance in this smarmy, instant gratification, "Survivor"/Temptation Island" (UGHHHHHHH/retch)- mentality media climate. I remember back in '91 I started taping the shows because even then I thought it would just wind up a foot note, and at least I could watch them every now and then and see something truly unique and brilliant and laugh my ass off. Thank God somebody gave it a chance even when the ratings weren't great.

I guess celebrity cameos don't make a good show! Bob Patterson was an average show at best.

An interesting reminder pointed out by columnist Sonia Mansfield was that _Seinfeld_ "didn't catch on until NBC moved it to Thursdays after _Cheers_ and that wasn't until its third season". This would explain George's obsession with Mr. Danson in "The Pilot" and "The Finale". It also brings a certain irony to Jerry's notion of Bania being a "time slot hit" in _The Buttershave_ from season nine.

Well it just goes to show you that it should have been a show about nothing....... instead they had to have a show laced with sex and trash talk.

I wonder when the writers are going to get a clue.......
