Is Donna Chang Chinese?

In all the discussions of characters and their religions, I don't recall anyone mentioning the character Donna Chang, who's in the syndicated episode on tonight (Mon, 5/27). Clearly a case of not being able to assume a nationality from a name. And not only is she not Asian, she tells Jerry her family changed the name from Changstein, making her Jewish?? (Although when Jerry tells Elaine about it, and she asks "What is she, if she's not Chinese?" he *does* say "She's like you." Is this proof that Elaine IS Jewish? No, this, I'm sure is just a reference to being a non-Asian, white woman (Can you still say Caucasian in this day and age of PC?))

No, I think Jerry was saying "Like you" - as in , I already DATED YOU - he wanted an exotic date.

With regard to the Changstein debate, I feel that when Jerry said "No, she's like you" to Elaine, he meant that both Donna and Elaine are non-chinese or non-oriental. I do NOT think that Jerry meant that both Elaine and Ms. ChangSTEIN are both Jewish. In fact, Elaine is not Jewish. BUT GEORGE IS!
