Kramer's Kareer Krashes

Nine years of work down the drain. And this incident will no doubt have far reaching consequences for the entire Seinfeld 4. On the eve of the release of Volume 7, I don't think I even want to buy it now. No apology could ever level the playing field again, this one is just too awful. Everything Seinfeld will forever be tainted by this dark day.

I entirely agree, maybe now the sale of Season 7 as well as the remainders should be canceled. In my book anyone willing to sell any of it is tainted as well. It should be boycotted regardless of what those entrepreneurs come up with. I pre-ordered Season 7 with Amazon.com and wonder what they will be doing.

One has to be judgemental sometimes. Do you think what happened may have been staged or a result of each parties demise in life? A clue to that is a movie that Michael Richards was in way before Seinfeld. It was about 2 television stations. One was a giant one was small. It was just aired by CW15 this past weekend. I was watching it and what egad look at that Michael Richards playing the part of a doofus. Anyway I it sure did look like him maybe 10 or more years earlier. I wonder if it is in his profile. I still am not sure what he said because it was so garbled up.

K-man should have remembered the Seinfeld episode where Jerry goes to his hecklers office and heckles HER.

The Puerto Rican parade episode caused enough backlash to be halted in repeats initially, but its back in re-runs.

Carroll O'Connor is still running from Archie Bunker, and that was fiction. He even went so far as to have a black girlfriend written into his Heat of the Night character to try and squash his typecast Archie into the ground.

Let's sit back and watch the back-peddling. The entire cast is now tainted now and you can bet they're all good and pissed. This should be an excercise in creativity, what are the options:

-Richards marries a black woman, either in real life or on a new televison show.

-Seinfeld writes a new show called "Kramer the Kracker" where Kramer is the only white guy on the whole show. He takes no end of brow-beating and ass-whipping from all the other characters.

-Nothing happens, everyone forgets this whole incident, and all of our black friends say live and let live. Yeah, it could happen.

We don't see too many Jack Benny reruns. That "YES SIR, BOSS!" shit still cuts to the bone and it's been off the air for 50 years.

I take exception to the claim that All In The Family "changed society". It certainly changed the sitcom genre, though, into something shrill and preachy. Maude, AITF, Good Times, One Day At A Time... all virtually unwatchable now. The only good Norman Lear sitcom is Sanford and Son, and possibly The Jeffersons, and that was due to the comedic abilities of its stars.

And to think, we gave up Green Acres for this.

Still nowhere NEAR as bad as seeing O.J. Simpson in the "Naked Gun" movies.
