I just saw Seinfeld's American Express commercial for the first time this morning. Has there been a previous thread about this that I missed, or is the commercial new? It was pretty funny, but it was airing during CBS's morning news show, not a program I would think would appeal to Seinfeld viewers/fans.

What I just discovered recently while watching one of the American Express commercials (the one with the globe) is that Jerry's been a member since 1980. (You can read that from the card.) Don't know why I felt the need to post this though.

I don't think this is necessarily true, since the card he held up on TV was not his actual American Express card (look at the digits).
