I heard last year that the real George Steinbrenner was going to appear in a Seinfeld episode. Does any know when this episode will air?

"I heard last year that the real George Steinbrenner was going to appear in a Seinfeld episode. Does any know when this episode will air?"

     As far as the real Steinbrenner, he taped a guest segment last
spring which was originally supposed to be used in the context
of George's engagement, in an episode late in the 1995-96 season
...but ultimately it was cut out and put on the shelf. (Didn't fit once
they decided to kill off Susan in the season finale.)
     Every once in a while you hear reports out of NBC that some
of the footage may yet be worked into a future episode...then
again, you hear a lot of reports about plans that don't pan out
(like an Elaine/Kramer fling, or some working of Julia Louis-
Dreyfus' pregnancy into the late episodes this year). And Jerry
often throws you a curve. Sometimes you get the feeling that
they change plans drastically on a few weeks' notice, just to
keep us all interested. The Boss wound up on the editing room
floor in one of those changes. He might show up yet, either
using last year's unaired footage or maybe something new,
but the odds grow longer with every passing week...
