Does anyone know where i can find entire seinfeld epsodes on mp3's???

Some people, once they saw a movie, just listen to the audio track in their portable while doing something else (visually). They prefer that to plain music. It's kind of like an audio book for them. It's a freak thing, but it happens.

well thanks everyone for the advise. im gonna do it just not sure how to do it. maybe someone knows how i can hook the audio output from tv to the audio input to computer to record them on cd's.

I do want only audio because I can listen to audio at work but not video. and lately ive been falling asleep at work. and getting in trouble. so i think if i listen to something im interested in i will stay awake, (hoping anyway) insurance gets so boring.

i got the idea because another guy at work has a show he likes in some audio form on cds that he made. i dont know if its mp3 but i dont care just want it to work.

some TVs allow you to plug in a vcr, this means audio and video. Maybe you can find some adapter cables (for just the audio). It might be easier to record a taped show from the video. Mostly the video recorders have extra connectors (to hook them on to a stereo set or so). There is also software that can directly compress the audio to mp3s, relieving you of the hassle of creating huge WAVs and then converting them to mp3.

thank you for the offer, i appriciate it, i dont think i could just pick one ep i love. and wouldnt want u to go through the trouble. but if you know how i can do it for myself from the tv or radio that would help. im not looking to post them on a site or anything, just for personal listing and visualation to keep my mind stimulated so i dont fall asleep at work.

I have a pc, and yes my sound card has a line in. I have been working with "The Maestro" he has been showing me how to record and convert the episodes to mp3 files. I have 6 now just working on taking out the commercials then converting them, its a long road but im willing to endure the pain....

Why don't you... download the episodes in video format (you may already have them) and take the audio out of there?

there are numerous issues at hand here and i'm not going to bore the seinfeld newsgroup with them at all..

you should be yelling at the vcd and dvd people then....since that is MORE pirating than people recording the eps and posting them on limewire or newsgroups....

vcd and dvd people are making money off it.....they don't deserve a dime for it...

the limewire peeps record the eps the SAME way you are suggesting....and they just share em online to other users who don't have the means to record them, themselves....

I didn't point anyone in particular. That's why I used the vague word 'distribution'. People sharing don't do anything wrong. But I'm still a little touchy about it cause it took me three years to get all my eps on tape, five at a week. I didn't have the Internet, no PC, not even a TV guide with a description of the eps. In my paper TV Guide, it was just written: "Seinfeld, 5 o'clock". So I had to watch it every day to check for eps I didn't have yet. By the end it was just pain to see The Maid aired for the hundredth time, while I was looking for The Mom and Pop Store.

I guess I'm just a little jealous of those who can get the whole series in a week-end with a DSL connection. But that doesn't change anything about my statement on quality.

well obviously christian...your gonna get better quality if you do them urself...

but as you said it's tedious...mel wants to listen to eps so she doesn't fall asleep at work...i'm sure if she could buy them legally she would...but downloading seems to be the best option

as she could download a lot of eps easily and export the audio and listen to them...

bear in mind that audio from tv isn't hiqual to begin with...so audio compressed that is offered on the shared networks is actually pretty close to the tv audio

You could get many different levels of quality from TV audio. There are many factors at play here. Cables (RCA or coaxial), source (antenna, satellite, cable), mastering and compression of the output from the TV station, quality of the reception when your record, analog/digital reception, etc.

Not to mention the way one would edit the eps, the compression level and codec he would use, etc.

I'm too perfectionist to bear anyone else doing these things for me.

How is watching computer videos of a tv show any different than watching taped videos on VHS? Both are illegal.

if it's fox...then they are broadcast for you to watch for free...and you can therefore record them. however you can't distribute them. put them on your computer and sharing them via the internet is a form of distribution....however taping them on vhs and watching them at ur own leasure....that isn't illegal....

otherwise your trying to tell me that the people that have cable and record movies, that is illegal.....

what if i'm going to gone one night and want to tape a tv show so i can watch it at my leasure???????
