Fans debate whether Mr. Lippman says he's working at "Pundit Publishing" or "Pendant Publishing" in the muffin shop scene, with most agreeing it sounds like "Pundit."
Good to see him back, but I think I caught something in the scene where Peterman's signing books, Lippman tells Elaine he's now working at (sounded a lot like) Pundit Publishing. (Sounded so much like 'pundit' and not like 'pendant' that I listened closely the 2nd and 3rd times).
I really think he said 'pundit'.
I agree he said "pundit" because I was like... wait a minute.
if you remember, pendant went out of business because elaine's mouth was full of jujy fruits when she was trying to remind mr. lippman that he forgot his handkerchief and he sneezed into his hand and couldn't shake the hands of the japanese investors, who took it as an insult, (funny how it seems so simple) so they had to come up with another publishing house.
Maybe Pundit Publishing is the Bizarro Pendant Publishing.
