did anyone else think that Greendays song in the clipshow was perfectly fit for the show and the images?? i thought the whole clip shows really really well done including the superman bit, and all the relationship bits k-dog

Absolutely! I've loved Green Day and that song, Time of Your Life (Good Riddance) for some time now but I never thought of it as a sad song until I saw the finale. It's like it was written especially for the episode, it is impossible for me to hear it now without thinking of Seinfeld.

Saw Green Day on the MTV Music Awards not too long ago and they were asked about the meaning behind the song. The singer said it was written about an ex-girlfriend and made a comment on how everybody had a different take on it. He said it was just a personal thing and seemed a bit pissed that everyone else was trying to put their own spin on it. He mentioned Seinfeld, McGwire, Princess Di, and a few other examples of the song being used in different ways. It seemed liked he was half pissed off, half joking. I like the band and all, but they should be thanking their lucky stars that the song was even associated with such a memorable piece of television history. It launched them into another stratosphere and made them a household name literally overnight. I imagine it didn't hurt their pocket books either. They are probably just scared that they will be perceived as selling out and being mainstream now. Oh well! Nothing wrong with being associated with the best show of all time in my opinion.
