Here is my idea of the Top 10 Seinfeld episodes:
Honorary Mention: The Race (probably the best episode of this year, but
doesn't quite make the list)
#10 The Limo (the downward spiral of events is hilarious)
#9 The Mango (vintage Kramer with his tirade in the store "I don't know
what's up with the Papayas!"
#8 The Lip Reader (everybody was good in this one.)
#7 The Chinese Restaurant (the classic episode about nothing)
#6 The Hamptons (Nice Rack!)
#5 The Apartment ("...for I am Costanza...Lord of the Idiots")
#4 The Phone Message (another downward spiral, but the punchline was that
it was all for nothing)
#3 The Marine Biologist (contains the best monologue by a character in
the series..."The sea was angry that day, my friends, like an
old man trying to send back soup in a deli!"
#2 The Contest (great episode, too cliche to put it at #1)
#1 The Outing (the verbal banter as well as the situations was classic.
Especially when Kramer popped his head in the door with the phone
man, only to let us linger for a few moments before he comes back
and explains.)By my count the first season (not counting the pilot episodes) and the fourth were the best. Each came up with 7 of the top 10 episodes.
