In last night's episode (2/8/96), George tries to get a date (and is, of course, successful but shot down later) with Marisa Tomei. George tells Susan as his alibi that he went to talk with Elaine b/c she was having trouble with her importer/exporter boyfriend. Susan asks Elaine what the boyfriend (BF) imports/exports, and then when she tries to verify it with George, he screws up b/c he and Elaine didn't get this far with alibi. Elaine said the BF imports potato chips and exports diapers; George says the BF imports "long matchsticks", and with this response, Susan throws him a punch and slams the door on him. So. . . is this it? Will George no longer be engaged?

Its possible, but highly unlikely. The episode wasn't important enough for a large move, like the ending of the engagement storyline, to take place. In addition, it is very poor timing for such a move to take place, since the season has a long way to go. The wedding is set for March 21st, which is a Thursday, so look for Susan to be finished then. I'm hardly unbiased on this issue, but I think you can rest assured she'll be back.
