Seinfeld Food References

Food seems to be a much-talked about topic. For instance:

Calzone - The specialty of the Italian place where George wants to be seen donating change into the charity cup.

Fusili - Type of pasta Kramer used to depict Jerry.

The different types of soup - From "The Soup Nazi".

Marble rye bread - Jerry steals one from the old lady to help George.

Beefaroni - Kramer feeds too much of it to the carriage horse.

Mutton - Jerry stuffs mouthfuls of it into his jacket pockets.

Swordfish soup - The episode where Jerry owes the guy a lunch.

Junior Mint - Infamous episode.

Snicker Bar - George has the Yankee staff eating it with knives.

Bosco - The name for the chocolate syrup that George uses as his ATM password.

Cereal - Jerry's fave.

Pakistani food - Jerry advises the new restaurant owner to serve ethnic food.

There are a couple of others I can't remember exactly. Poppi had a specialty in his restaurant that Jerry wanted Elaine to try. Mrs. Costanza was cooking something that she was going to serve Jerry's parents on their visit to New York. And I know Newman must have had some scenes where food was on his mind.

People eat everyday, so I don't think it's so odd to mention food alot. Food is a large part of most social lives. You go out to eat together. You take a date out to eat, yadda yadda yadda. Alone or together people, we gotta eat. :)

Dont forget the marble loaf that George's parents stole from Susan's. Jerry had to get a replacement for George. When he went to get it, they were sold out, so Jerry stole it from an old lady.

In a later episode, the one in Florida...Jerry's father (president of the community) was under an impeachment trial. One more vote was needed to impeach him. The same old lady was on the committee and she was against impeachment. When Jerry arrived (I think as a character witness), she remembered his face and voted for impeachment.
