It was on two seasons on ABC, and I loved it! The guy went on to play the insider stock trader doing community services on Nurses last year. Sledgehammer played back to back (I think) with The Charmings, which was a bomb but prince Charming is now the plastic surgeon on George Carlin's show.

Yup, I'm 18 now, and I faintly remember that show.... I loved it! The two things I remember most it in the introduction credits to the show, at the end, Sledgehammer shot the window of a car or something....
I also remember at the end of that last episode of the first season when the town was blewn off the face of the earth and it said "To be continued.... Next Season?" and the chief yelling "HAMMERRRRRRRRR!!!!" and I remember thinking "If they will be on next season, how are they going to pull that off!?"
