Because one day Kramer was walking along the street, a Volkswagen bug drove by and the owner tossed a piece of trash out of the window. Kramer saw this and yelled at him. The bug stopped and 20 clowns piled out of it and beat him senseless. Ever since that fateful day, Kramer has hated clowns! ;-)

It seems like it had something to do with Kramer seeing someone throw trash out of a Volkswagen, so he yelled at them. Then about 12 to 14 clowns jumped out of the Volkswagen and beat him senseless...
Everyone knows that sooner or later, a clown will pick up an ax or a chainsaw and come after you. Can't trust 'em. <g>

I thought he was just afraid of them. I don't like them either, not that anyone cares. haha
