Seinfeld: More Bad Press Than M*A*S*H

Though a loyal M*A*S*H devotee, I have sworn off comparing M*A*S*H and Seinfeld, b/c I undertsand the differences in demographics, audiences, etc.

But what about this (IMO) objective tidbit: the Seinfeld finale received so much more bad press after the fact than did M*A*S*H. I wasn't watching M*A*S*H when it ended (only 6!), but I can't imagine it getting as much ciriticism as the last Seinfeld.

Do others here agree with me, that strengths and weakness of the shows aside, the Seinfeld finale got a lot more public gruff than the M*A*S*H finale? I say this b/c I just read another post about "real fans" etc. And as a I thought that this wasa fact that neither "side" has mentioned...yes, it's pro-M*A*S*H, but hey...<g>).

I've posted this before, but Entertainment Weekly this month reveiews the finals of the major comedy hits. The only one to get a lower grade that the Seinfeld finale was the MASH finale.<
