It's a new sitcom with the incredibly original name of "That 70's show".
Unfortunately, I think they used every joke and stereotype they have in their opening epsisode. I predict 3 months and out. (Not that it was bad, Mortis, but I just don't see where they have to go with it.) Like the pot smoking scene at the table, where everything looks weird. Sure, that's funny once, but can you imagine how old it will get if they try to do it every episode? Same thing about going on about 70's megagroups. Spoofs are funny one-shot deals, but I think it's nearly impossible to make a successful series off a concept like that.
And since this is on the Seinfeld group, Seinfeld was not a spoof in any sense of the word. Seinfeld was more original than most stuff out there, plus it had great characters. Two elements "that 70's show" lacked.

You're right - I think I got stuck doing Gharlane imitations and didn't get off that mental windmill soon enough. But nothing on TV is inspiring me these days. I rented 20 MILLION MILES TO EARTH last night - now that's entertainment! Paul Drake (from Perry Mason) does a travelogue through Rome and takes time out to chase a Ray Harryhausen monster who does a tap dance on top of the Coliseum. Watch this, and you'll immdeiately think "TV Dinner", the music video from ZZ Top. (out about '84) Same monster.
Best line: "We landed on Venus, but something in the atmosphere was fatal to humans. Several of the men died before the others realized what was happening!"
You got the title wrong, dood. That was "The Partridges of Hazzard" and the drove around in a hopped up Ford Torino with this big arrow type design painted on the side. Sometimes they joined forces with these two inner city detectives, Starscynski and Crutch.
