Yours may be even a more accurate translation than mine was... but the "take"!!! in "The Hamptons"... I'll bet I've watched it a hundred times. It just gets funnier... best 2 seconds of the series, imo.
Heard him interviewed a few times. (MR) Says he got a lot of great schtick from Art Carney's "Norton" on "The Honeymooners"... like the "big entrance" and then casually "grazing" from the "ice box"/refrigerator. (Can you imagine either series with Kramden AND Kramer? or Jerry and Norton?)
Too bad they aren't all the same age now. They could do BOTH series all over again (with "The Switch") and run for an extra 50 or so years in syndication.
